Monolithic Adobe (Cob) Workshops

Come learn through hands-on workshops how to build a monolithic adobe/cob structure from foundation to living roof. Monolithic adobe/cob is a combination of clay soil, sand, straw, and water. It can bear the load of walls in homes, can be used to build beautiful courtyard walls and benches, as well as ovens. It has thermal mass properties which allows a building’s inside temperature to stay cool during the summer and warm during the winter.

Cob can be use for:

beautiful, natural-looking  structure/garden walls

• ovens
• dog houses
• creative courtyards including benches and more!

As well as building with cob we teach how to paint with natural, non-toxic clay-based paints, how to use earthen plasters to create designs on existing structures, and how to pour adobe floors.
